Re: baby showers
(Anonymous) 2014-07-17 12:52 am (UTC)(link)Aside from the aforementioned incidences, the only time I really see it happening for subsequent kids is when the second child is a different sex than the first because some the parents want to do activities or get baby clothes/whatever that are more "girly" or "boyish" and feel that a lot of the hand-me-downs from their first child wouldn't be suitable for their second because of the gender difference. Even then, it's still pretty rare to do this from what I've noticed.

Righttttt, I can see that happening too, now that you mention it. (And imagine it has but I haven't been privy to it.)
Pretty sure there's gender neutral baby clothing now too so that could be helpful for people wanting multiple kids, but not everyone would be into those.
