AAAAH I UNDERSTAND. I'm 18 and in college now, and I still wish all the time that I could just step into this magical and so-much-bigger world where animals and stars and planets talked and teenagers really could save the universe. I must have read the Oath a thousand times when I was younger and still had this stupid, desperate home that it could really happen. Embarrassing but true. :<

(And if I had the book with me, I'd probably read the Oath again.)

In Life's name, and for Life's sake, I say that I will use the Art for nothing but the service of that Life. I will guard growth and easel pain. I will fight to preserve what grows and lives well in its own way; and I will change no object or creature unless its growth and life, or that of the system of which it is part, are threatened.
