just because people love villains who murder people doesn't mean they'd like a person who murdered people irl.

it's the same the other way around.

just because people dislike the prevalence of angsty men being glorified in fiction despite their usually terrible actions doesn't mean they're insensitive to the fact that men experience intense emotional pain irl.

(of course ymmv because there are plenty of people who will stan the heck out of male characters with manpain even if they're being selfish jackasses the entire time)
