Re: Is having an active fantasy life harmful?

[personal profile] silvereriena 2014-07-17 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I do on the bus, when I'm waiting to fall asleep or when I'm in the shower... basically any time that I'm waiting on something or doing something routine that doesn't require my full concentration. Also during boring lectures, which I'm sure is pretty common. Oftentimes I'll construct narratives and whatnot and then I'll start to write/doodle them down. It seems to be par for the course if you're a storyteller.

I don't think it's harmful because I can switch back to real life very easily and it's not really a form of escapism for me so much as: "Oh man, wouldn't it be cool if so and so happened? Lemme visualize it..."
