(Context: both characters are war veterans. The first speaker was a commander in the war, and made a choice that ended in a tragedy.)

I love how that succinct bit of dialogue explores the issues of guilt and remorse without getting too philosophical.

Knights of the Old Republic 2. I recently re-found a bunch of old stuff floating around a hard drive; that was written something like five years ago.
