I don't see why that's a problem? if you're specifically discussing a man and his actions in canon then it can be used as a descriptor, idk. tbh people who are saying men in media are unfairly disregarded and criticized for being written with emotions sounds an awful lot like that "but what about the men" argument.

if you look at literally any fandom, while male characters might get some criticism and backlash, unfair or not, there are triple the amount ready to stan the character to the fucking moon. and even more than that ready to rip the female characters apart, especially if they're a LI, for showing any emotion at all.

god forbid she dumps him for being a jerk and he gets upset about it. you'll find a hell of a lot more people calling her a bitch rather than people whining about manpain.
