This comment is hilarious. I hate disappointing movies so much more than just outright bad movies.

Me too! Because at least I know how to deal with a bad movie. Hilariously bad movie? Instant guilty pleasure. Bland? Meh, I'll just forget that I ever saw it in the first place. Infuriating? Time for a MCU marathon! Disappointing movies are just... why. Especially if the movie teases you with something that has the potential to save it from being a disappointing experience. It's like the film's saying "See this cool concept that we just explored? We're going to ignore it for the rest of the movie now! Here's a lame villain death instead. Enjoy!"

I still liked Tom Hardy in TDKR. I don't even care. I liked him in Inception and Bronson, he gets a pass.

I never saw TDKR, but it seems I might need to just to say I have. I'm trying to think of the most disappointing movie I've seen. The only one I can think of it this movie called 'Doggie B.' (I have a thing for stupid family pet movies.) THEY HAD CUTE PROPS, THEY HAD CUTE DOGS. They had an incoherent plot and bad directing. I couldn't finish watching it, it depressed me so.

Ooohh, that sounds awful. It's been a while since I couldn't finish a movie, so I don't even want to imagine what a letdown that must've been. Family films should be silly and uplifting, not depressing!

I think that the worst part about movies like that is that they make you feel tricked. It took me a few years and way too many bad movies to get to the point where it kind of baffles me when people go "but they had (insert cool plot, premise, cast or director here), how could they screw up?!". EASILY, THAT'S HOW.
