Gotta love the Beifong sisters' story arc. They are on the path to healing but they aren't quite there yet, but that doesn't mean they can't get along now - especially for the greater good (Opal and Korra). Also love Opal being the one to step into the fight and call them out on their bullshit - and using airbending to do it! :)

And yay for more airbending and airbabies! I do love how Tenzin struggles to teach the new airbenders even more so than he struggled to teach Korra. I do think, though, it's very short-sighted of him not to realize that these guys aren't committed to rebuilding the nation in the same way he is. They were born Earth Kingdom and never asked for airbending, and I'm surprised it took Pema telling him for him to realize that having airbending doesn't make them Air Nomads or Air Nation by default.

While I understand that they may not go into detail about this in the show itself, I'm surprised they depict Tenzin as being so dedicated to doing everything the Air Nomad way when it's so obvious his life is nothing like the actual Air Nomads - he isn't all that nomadic, he is in a nuclear family (air nomads lived communally, no family units), and time and again we see him espousing hierarchy when the Air Nomads didn't really have much hierarchy. At least show, IDK, him dedicating himself to doing things "the traditional way" so much specifically to make up for the ways he doesn't live like an actual air nomad?

I hope we get to see Jinora with her airmaster tattoos by the end of the season. :)

On Tenzin (still haven't seen the recent ep you mentioned), I got the impression that he was under a lot of pressure since he was young to carry on Aang's (and in turn the air nomads) legacy, and it's a bit of a blind spot for Tenzin that he doesn't get right away when others don't go along with this plan he was likely raised with.

At the same time, the "old ways" just don't work given air bending's near extinction, so keeping his family to one relatively secluded island (not even in the air iirc. were the atla air temples skylands?) for instance is one of those compromises. Maybe Tenzin wants to preserve as much of tradition as possible?
