okay opening this I was going to say that I am sick of americans crying about how the rest of the world doesn't understaaaaaaaaaand but now i just want to say

i knew a girl from canada who spent a week here and went up a whole size

she was still skinny as fuck but yeah we got SHIT IN OUR FOOD and RIDICULOUS PORTION SIZES

Cool anecdote, bro? But when you're traveling you're obviously not eating the same home-cooked meals. Do you know what food she ate?

If I went to Italy, gorged on Italian food in restaurants while touring around and gained five pounds in a week, do I get to blame Italy for it? Or is it me and my traveling habits?

Regardless, the point wasn't about individual weight gain. My point was that the "obesity epidemic" is in reality more due to poverty and food choices not being available and not Americans just being fat and lazy, which is what the stereotype is.

Here I am, doing SO WELL eating spinach, and onions, and drinking milk, 'n' shit, and then I just HAVE TO GO HOME and eat ALL THE MEXICAN FOOD.

Why don't Canadians understand me??? I just love the MEXICAN FOOD so much! ToT
