Re: You have a really weird perception

Not OP, and I don't particularly agree with OP, but I'd really like to live where you live, honestly. I'm 5'3'', 165 lbs, and random people have yelled at me from their cars or bikes (it's happened 16 times, I remember each of them) things like "fatty" or "eat less". Two different waitresses, at two different restaurants, have asked me if I was sure about my order because it was a lot of food (one was a sushi plate with 12 pieces, one a regular pizza). Three shop assistants, in three different shops, have told me they don't carry my size pretty much as soon as I entered.
It's so great living in Italy!! Everyone is so helpful and nice when you're overweight.
(In all fairness, the same happens the other way around too; one of my friends is naturally very skinny, and she gets a lot of people telling her that she should eat more, and that she'd be prettier with a little meat on her bones. Everyone here cares disproportionately about what's in other people's plates, especially women).

I'm on the other end of the spectrum. I've had people push food at me when I've eaten all I can. Stores frequently don't have clothes in my size and I've been directed to try looking in the teen section more than once. I've had people ask me if I'm anorexic.

It can be humiliating, but it's nowhere near as terrible as sexism. One of those things makes me roll my eyes and growl. The other made me afraid to go into work.
