OK, you are aware that the whole shoujo genre is targeted at women and girls, right? Shoujo has existed for 20+ years... possibly much longer, feel free to check wikipedia for exact references.

I am all for shoujo -my first fandom was a shoujo anime, which by definition is full of shonen-ai and yaoi- but it's not recent... and it's doing extremely well in Japan and Europe and not likely to disappear anytime soon. So I don't really understand why you seem to think one more shoujo anime needs additional support?

I mean, if you like it, that's great, but there's lots of shoujo and a huge amount of fandom activity around it worldwide and this has been the case for at least a couple of generations and shows absolutely no sign of abating. Seriously, the fact that American society has become more and more prudish and medieval in its attitude towards women's sexuality is not shared by the rest of the world, you know.
