I hate that. And I can't really explain why. It feels kind of dehumanizing? Reducing someone to just their biology? I don't know.

that's exactly why i hate it too--to me it often feels dehumanizing.

Hate this. Particularly 'female' because my dad is sexist and is always commenting 'typical female' whenever a woman does anything he doesn't like. SO MUCH HATE.

Somewhat related, it bothers me when people refer to a group of women as "girls." I think of girls as under 20 years old, anything older and it's WOMEN. "Boys" also kind of bugs me too when they're older, but I usually say "guys" as "men" feels too formal. And I prefer "everyone" when referring to a group of mixed gendered people instead of "you guys."
