Staff Issues or Just Impatient?

I recently joined this website that requires members activate their account via activation email after a week, or else the account gets locked and you can't use it anymore. Normally I would activate my account as soon as I get the email, but I never received it. Now that my account is locked, I have the option of sending a new verification email, which I did. Repeatedly. Like, nine times. None have gotten over here.

I sent in a support ticket on Friday morning asking for help from the staff, and I haven't gotten a reply back. On the forums (which I can only view and not post on since I'm locked), the staff tell other members who are having unrelated issues to send a support ticket. Is there a reason they're not getting back to me specifically? Is it just that it's the weekend, so they're not responding to any support tickets until Monday? What would you do in this situation, F!S?

Have you looked them up to see if they have a bad reputation? That would be my first step.

I've heard they've been a bit unprofessional in the past, but never experienced anything firsthand. This website was said to be a fresh start for them; I don't know why they would treat members badly from the beginning. It doesn't help their reputation if that's true.

I did, and I also checked to see if the site's domain was on my blocked senders list. Both of them work out. There should be nothing on my end stopping the email.
