Actually, today's secret post inspired me to check out Samurai Flamenco! I'm keeping my expectations low because I've heard middling things about it but yeah, a non-bl anime that has gay marriage? Sure, I'll with 'death of the author' and be happy with it. :D I keep meaning to watch Glasslip since I love slice of life anime, I just can't seen to find the time! I'm watching Black Butler right now and will start Attack on Titan (those are both family members' faults, haha). I also am considering Tokyo Ghoul since I love horror, but horror from Japan always seems to mess me up so I'm not sure I should try to tackle it. XD
Free! definitely played a big part in bringing me back to anime. XD

Shounen Hollywood is simulcasting on crunchyroll, I think. http://imgur.com/78jev8D The younger characters are all adorable and likable, but he's the one who wowed me. Ugh, I shouldn't find anime characters this hot... I want the next episode already.
That secret made me wonder if I should try it too, though the whole 'not gay!' comments actually made me question that. I'm afraid even if I do ship the characters (which, this is me, so I will) the writers comments will ruin the ship for me. I've never let that happen before so it probably wouldn't start now, but I'm cautious, I guess. You watched any of it yet?
And I've never heard of Glasslip, but I really like the gothic look of Black Butler. (The only thing that's keeping me from watching is the 12 year old. ...Unless he gets older very quickly, I don't think I'd want to watch that.)
Attack on Titan is on my netflix list, so hopefully I'll eventually get to it as well. It's insane popularity has me curious.
Ah, Free!, spreading the love. What a good anime you are. (For me Tiger and Bunny might've also had something to do with it, but unfortunately that ended a long while back and I haven't been able to watch the movies yet.)

Oh, I must have missed that. And...is that...an anime dude....who has facial hair that doesn't look silly?! Wowowow. XD I'll definitely pick this one up.
I've not watched any of it yet! It's apparently awful and enjoyable though, which I can definitely get behind. I love awful and enjoyable stuff (see: Teen Wolf, hahaha). I think I'll be able to ignore the writer's statements; if he's going to no homo two dudes getting married, welp, clearly I shouldn't be listening to him anyway.
For Black Butler, if it helps, Ciel doesn't act like a 12 year old at all and his and Sebastian's relationship is clearly both a master/servant one as well as a fairly quietly predatory one haha (as Sebastian gets his soul after he dies). I've only watched the first episode but it's pretty enjoyable. And a family member who isn't in fandom and doesn't ship didn't mention anything creepy about their relationship.
...but yeah, considering how big the fandom is and the fact that this is anime, their relationship is probably creepier than it seems from the first episode. Which doesn't bother me but I definitely understand why it would bother other people.
I watched Tiger & Bunny has it aired! That's such a good anime, I was really impressed. I think I watched No. 6 around the same time, which was also really good even though its ending was disappointing. :\

Yup! I was amazed too.
Haha, I like that you mention Teen Wolf. (And usually agree about it being awful and enjoyable!) I've watched plenty of shows that weren't exactly stellar because I shipped a pairing hard or the thing was entertaining despite being bad. (Merlin, for instance.) You're right though; not sure if the two characters actually get married (it sounds like one proposes, but I'm not sure if the other character accepts? If he accepts, fuck the writer, that shit is not 'no homo'), but you have a point. I'm going to try it because I love me some hero's and I love comedy, and it's supposedly rather short so shouldn't take long to get through.
Hmmm, Sebastian gets his soul after he dies is fascinating and if the main character were older then I would be all over it. And shipping them despite how fucked up that would be. So...I'm not sure I'm comfortable getting into it, but I think I'll do a bit of research, see if that changes my mind. IDK.
Tiger and Bunny was everything I loved rolled into one anime; I was blown away. I'm sad there isn't a second season (yet?), but I'm SO looking forward to watching the movies. And I don't know what No. 6 is but I'll google it! Ahhh, so many things to watch! (This is exciting.)
