MY FRIEND AND I ARE IN A SIMILAR BOAT--we're ITCHING to work on this crossover that we've got the bare bones worked out for, but we can't go any further until THE SHOW GOES ON HIATUS AND STOPS FOR A GOOD WHILE AT SOME SOLID PLOT POINT, so we're looking forward to the break too. 39. Besides, to me, most of the super-masculine characters in fandom are too busy being super-masculine to have interesting personalities anyway.
Wait, so wtf, only girly/feminine guys = interesting personalities? I mean, I'm all for everyone having their own tastes and everything, but to think the only reason that people like masculine characters is because they want to be "rescued" is kind of weird, considering some of us like the characters as characters and not as people that we want to see ourselves with romantically. The fact that you can only see character-liking in that kind of context is pretty worrying in and of itself. :/
