I probably wouldn't miss the silly arguments I have with my triforce of not-quite-fratboy-mentality male friends too much, but they ARE funny.

I used to find them funny, now I just find them exhausting. Oh sigh.

Eh. I used to get exhausted, now I just grin and wish them luck finding a fee-male who fits their gender mold.

It helps that it's usually my friends that I debate with, and not random fratpersons, although I did have to struggle not to snicker when I was helping this guy with a paper he'd written about how the quality of life is so much better when women stay in the kitchen.

Yeah, it's my friends/family that I debate with, too, which is why I get frustrated, you know? It hits closer to home.

The funniest conversation I ever had with my family was when my sister told me completely out of the blue and in a "reassuring" type voice that if I wore "regular" clothing, I could be beating the boys off with sticks. This is funny because my sister is a lesbian.

And I was wearing a fitted t-shirt and pants that were just loose enough to be comfy, so I'm not sure what she meant by "regular" clothing, other than tighter pants.

I know what you mean, though. Comments from my family about my clothes and relationship status used to bug me, but the more I get comfortable with myself and what I want to be, the easier it is to let slide off my back. It's become easier to laugh at the irony of my lesbian sister buying into the idea that every girl needs to be reassured that she can get a boyfriend if she doesn't already have one.

As a lesbian, I find that completely hilarious. But it just goes to show that everyone can ahve completely bizarre viewpoints, you know? XD

One of my own close gay female friends was still looking for a boyfriend for months after she came out of the closet and I couldn't for the life of me understand why XD;

Combined with my bizarre tendency to somehow ALWAYS find myself attracted to women who have no interest in my gender, I'm just kind of glad I knew in advance so I could dodge a bullet there >_>

My gaydar doesn't work. And she didn't want hers to work or something.

My friend once called me a "gay man trapped in a gay woman's body." I'm not entirely sure how that works, but he seemed adamant that it was a very good description.

"lol sexuality" is a pretty good summary of everything ever, I do believe.

Well, uh, someone once described my best (straight[ish] female) friend as "a gay man trapped in a woman's body," and that seemed to work, but I'm not sure how a gay man can be trapped in a gay woman's body. It's like. What.

I think it's because I have a lot of qualities associated with the stereotypical gay man, despite the fact that I am a girl who likes girls. I blame it on the jazzhands.

XD No need to apologize. Not on my end, anyway. The boys I hang out with are silly and have some pretty structured ideas about gender roles, and my equal interest in capoeira and fashion design tends to confuse them, but I think a little confusion is good for a person's worldview. They've made me give some serious thought to some of my gender perceptions as well, which is good.

Hey, I did capoeria and took a fashion design course. Nothin' wrong with that. >_>
