No, if this was the same OP from above, he was saying the Gargoyles shouldn't ask the humans to treat them better, because the humans might be scared of them.

To answer your other question, in this case we're talking about two brothers who love each other, the situation is different from your average 'persecuted/oppressor' situation.

That argument looked like it was more that the Gargoyles should find an indirect way of dealing with humans, because the humans are not going to respond favourably to the direct method.
