I ship it.

Granted, I read the books when they first came out & I've only read the first six. Likewise, I've only seen the first 7 episodes of the show, but one of these days I'd like to get back into it.

The teacher/student romance dynamic is one of my faves. Frankly, I'm surprised how derided it is by the show's fans. Then again, I'm surprised so many people love Toby, so clearly the show deviates from the books quite a bit. I'm assuming the Aria/Ezra relationship is no different.

He's her teacher? Meh, I sort of had a thing with a teacher (as an adult, for the record). Strangely enough, I'm not particularly into that dynamic despite that fact, but it has long since stopped being automatically disturbing.

Eh. I think we've all shipped questionable things at one time or another.

Also, the whole teacher/student thing is a pretty common fantasy/kink, so I can see the appeal.

I think it's super, super gross on the show, especially after recent revelations about what Ezra was doing all along.

That said, what I would criticise in pro-media, I wouldn't criticise in fan-media. You enjoy!

I tried to give this show a shot and couldn't get past this relationship. I've always found student/teacher relationships repugnant because of the blatant power disparity inherent in them.

It's not even just that he's her teacher, he also stalked her and used her for his dumb book over the 14 y.o. he was obsessed with.

Also, they're really dull.
