Inspire me FS!

Trying to write a couple in a fic so I want inspiration and ideas! For people who are or have been in relationships-- what does your partner/SO/honeybun/lover mean to you? People who have been in ships but aren't now can answer too, I guess, since it's the general idea!

My spouse is my best friend. He's the person I vent to and fall into; he's the main cog in my support system. And I am the same for him. I'm proud of him. I think he's talented. I love seeing him succeed, and I love that he expresses pride in me when I succeed. He believes in me, and he wants me to reach my full potential, and he reminds me of everything that's good about me when I'm having trouble remembering. I do the same for him.

It probably sounds sappy, but we've worked hard for what we have, and I'm thankful for it.

Haha, going anon for this one, too!

My partners take interest in what I do. Whoever I'm with is my cheering section and my sounding board. I'm in the arts, and whenever I'm working on a new project, they're my very first, go-to beta, rehearsal director, and final cut editor. I do the same for them, testing new dishes, examining new instruments, whatever.

It's a relationship based in balance and reciprocity. They're someone I don't worry about having bad dreams or bad days around, with whom I can literally let down my hair. I know they won't get scared away when I'm having a particularly shitty day and snap at them.

Anyone else I'm just dating, but if I feel confident I can show them all the bad with all the good, then they're my partner. It's super cheesy, but they become my other half, rejoicing with a supporting me in life.

What partner means to me... is cuddles, good sex, a good movie, shared interests and sharing new interests, and home. I don't care so much about marriage, but I want to come home to whomever I love every night and sleep with my arms around them (or vice versa!). They're someone who will hold me while we're falling asleep without my having to ask every time, but will be my teddy bear, too. And have sex with the windows open, sometimes.
