I like big manly men, so I find him really attractive! I wouldn't mind being a kept wife either so I'm pretty okay with his idea of "idyllic scene" (except maybe for the six or seven sons part ha ha), and he doesn't seem like the type to pay close attention to whoever he's dating so I always assume that his wife could do things he disliked (like reading) as long as he was being told that wasn't the case.


Tbh the only version of him I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole is the stage version because it's implied that he had a relationship with the triplets while wooing Belle and that he intended to continue it after marrying her.
