As a big fan of the band, the bait and switch of the break up was disappointing. But at the same time, I think Gerard has every right to decide how far he wants to take MCR, and to pursue other artistic projects. Especially since the huge success and then backlash against the band must make it even more difficult to evolve musically when they're working under that name.

OP again.
I totally agree, if it's not fun anymore you should just stop. But the way things are being handled right now just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. If he only ever planned to make three albums he should have said so from the get-go. Instead of kind of disappearing and then dragging his feet into making a new album. And they'd already started promoting MCR5 /before/ they called it quits. Which psyched up a lot of people so that was kind of mean.
