Not exactly. Both "Gou" and "Kou" are acceptable readings and the latter, which she prefers, is the more common for women. However, her name as it was given to her is the more masculine "Gou" reading, after an historical figure.

So, we're actually hating on a fictional girl for daring to insist that people call her by the acceptable alternate pronunciation of her name, which she strongly prefers to her given pronunciation.
