I was really disappointed about Tunstall too. It just felt really out of left field.

I don't mind that Beka didn't end up with Rosto, really (though there should always be more Rosto) and I kind of liked the guy she did end up with (even if I spent half the book expecting him to turn out to be the traitor) but you're right that it felt really shoe-horned.

Sad, because I otherwise liked the books and the end of Mastiff was just kind of a downer.
