See, that's one that actually made sense to me. People can't control what their attracted to, so demonizing/vilifying them for it won't help. Where as treating sexual preferences/attraction (not really sure what word to use here) like pedophilia as an illness would hopefully encourage treatment and ways to cope with that attraction.

Of course, not having control over what they're attracted to does not give them the right to act out on it. And anyone who has sex with someone who can't consent should be punished.
