Well, it appears that you are still helping the developers because you're so vocal about this.

Still, unless we are talking financial difficulties, people who do this (advocate a position they do not ascribe to in a situation where they can avoid advocating the position in question) puzzle me a lot.

IDK, maybe I'm weird, but I don't really have a problem with this. You're buying it at a price that the developers have decided to offer it for. I'm really not sure who you're wronging here.

Yeah, but they pretend that they think it right to buy the games at full prices and then go and choose the lowest prices anyway. Which is a bit strange? Like, I agree that there's nothing wrong with buying the stuff when it's cheap, and why can't they just continue doing it but stop arguing for the opposite?

Oh, hm, I didn't read it that way, that they were specifically advocating buying the games at full price. My assumption was that they were just talking a lot about how awesome indie games are and how it's important to support them, and then some other people heard that and decided to buy some indie games at full price.

It would definitely be a little weird if it's like you're saying and I hadn't really considered that.

I got most of my games on steam thanks to bundles. This means I have more games than I'll ever get time to play ha. At least I still kind of supported those devs.

Well, try supporting the devs in other ways?

Idk if you actually don't lack the money and are just stingy then yeah it's shitty to piggyback your high horse on other people paying the full price. It's great that you're getting others to buy them for full price, yes, but it kind of doesn't absolve you of doing the same.

Generally indie games are really cheap anyway so unless you're really low on money there's not many good excuses, sorry.

At doing that you're choosing to pay the minimum price their're willing to sell their games, so I don't see it as wrong.

Don't worry about this, OP. Devs are grown up people, they'll manage without your help.

Look at it this way: I buy most of my games dirt cheap during the Steam sales, and according to some reports (on phone, can't link), it's actually during these periods that developers make the most revenue. Cheap stuff means more people buy.
