I'm so sick of trying to get blood out of my sheets and mattress pad, even old sheets, during that time of the month. (hate tampons, and pads move around at night). So I've decided that since I have a waterbed, I will just sleep on no sheets for a few days and sacrifice one pair of pajamas to the cause. Rubber mattress equals no fuss, no muss.

I sleep on a thick black towel across my bed in the hips area, when it's menses time. I also use a huge nighttime pad, wear an old, baggy set of panties on top of the fitted set, and a pair of shorts/sweatpants, too. It's a bunch of failsafes stacked on top of one another, but I haven't had a bloody bed disaster in years.

Semi ditto this. I just wear one set of pajamas & undies, but it's usually the menses pajamas and undies. I wake up fearing there will be a mess. 7.75/10 there is not. I'd go so far as to say 8.5/10.

I do the towel thing, too. A cheap beach towel spread across the danger zone. I know you said you hate tampons, and I felt the same way, but... I did eventually start using them mostly at night and no more leaks or bunched-up pads.
