My friends hate each other and I'm sad.

I'm tempted to stay away from them entirely for a while. It doesn't involve me and I just don't want to hear any more about it. I'm really sensitive to things like this and it's hurting me, selfish as that sounds.

(If they came to me to vent, of course I'd listen, but nobody ever does, so it's not like I'm just cutting them off when they try to tell me about it. They're venting in their own spaces, so it would be as simple as not checking there. I kind of wish they trusted me like that, though, even if it would mean listening and supporting them while they talked about things I would rather not hear.)

... that's kind of a complicated tangle of feels, anon. On the one hand, you're sick of hearing about their bickering, but on the other hand, you regret that they're not bringing it directly to you? Time to take a break from whatever part of the internet they're in and dive into something that makes you happy, whether it's pursuing a new hobby or marathoning a DVD boxset. Active pursuits are better, though. You need to shift focus off other peoples' problems.

If you think you need to stay away from them for a while, then do it. Take a break and focus on something more positive.
