Re: How do your beliefs line up with your parents?

I think I have similar political beliefs to my mother, though I'm predictably more tolerant. My mother doesn't really have religious beliefs, and I don't think I really get what a "god" is, so we're good on that account.

My father leans Democratic, but he weirds me out sometimes. (For instance, he thinks Vietnam was a just and necessary war in which America achieved its primary objectives.) He likes to present his religious beliefs as moderate, but he's actually scary hardcore if you question him enough. I don't think I honestly think of him as my parent at this point, though--it's more like he's the person who earns money to support my real parent.
