Re: How do your beliefs line up with your parents?

Mom goes to church every week, and I go when I'm visiting her for a weekend.
She's mostly liberal when it comes to civil rights/domestic social issues, center-right on fiscal issues, and mostly hawkish when it comes to foreign policy.

My dad was more of a peacenik than my mom, and probably an atheist. He also was socially liberal when it came to most things, but had a weird racist streak sometimes. I don't really know what his thoughts were on fiscal matters.

I'm solidly liberal. I'm not particularly religious, but don't have a problem with people who are as long as they're not using it as an excuse to be assholes.
