I don't really read fic so I never knew people do this... this is kind of a weird thing to do, if you want more attention, NOT updating doesn't seem like the way to get it.

I only draw fanart but from what I observe, the more I post the more attention I get. I would never hold anything back because one post didn't get attention, I'd just shrug it off as not being a popular piece and then post the next thing.

I guess my only close equivalent is when I did comics, but even then I would never withhold anything because of anything readers did or didn't do. I was creating the comic for me so it didn't matter if I had 5 fans or 500.

I guess I should ask, do you enjoy writing fic?
