I'll always like Makorra, even though Bryke handled it terribly. Also, ignore any flack you get from this. Kataang ended in child neglect, with Katara completely ignoring Aang's choice. I felt so bad about Bumi finally feeling like he'd be a part of his father's culture now that he can airbend. Just, wow, Aang was a shitty father.

Child neglect? Dude, Aang's not the best father because he had to be the Avatar and encourage his kids at the same time, but it is definitely not child neglect.

You do realize you can neglect your child emotionally, right? He focused all his attention on Tenzin, this has been stated in the show. You have watched those episodes, right? Everything Bumi has ever done was to get Aang to be proud of him, because he spent all of his time with Tenzin.

See though, I think your taking it to a harsher degree then it was. Obviously they all had interactions with their dad. Look at them. They have issues, but there's not really hate. Tenzin clearly got more attention but it wasn't a devoid emotionless statue to the other two. They just were distinctly aware of who got the lions share of the time and obviously had feelings about it.

I think people who take the whole Mako/Asami/Korra thing as the most evil thing evar, scumbagMako omg, Asami bbgurlllll take things too seriously. Tomatoes, tomatoes.

Da

That shit wth Harmonic convergence and Korra making the barrier between go away, apparently caused an influx of spirutual energy. Thus new airbenders. It is such bullshit.

I actually really like the new airbender plotline. Since we never really got to see Aang learn to airbend, it's fun seeing the training that the new airbenders are going through, and how well (or not so well) the traditional airbending lifestyle is meshing with the modern world.

It reminds me quite a lot of S2 of ATLA.

Yep, along with lots of other people since Harmonic Convergence. It's the main plotline of Season 3 and this season as been so, so, so much better than the previous two. There's action! Villains! Stories that make sense! Backstory for Lin!

(Anonymous) 2014-07-28 06:20 am (UTC)(link)
Yep. There's a ton of new airbenders now. Oh, and the villains for this season are called the 'Red Lotus', their leader being one of the new airbenders. Apparently some eartbenders can also make molten lava.

OH and Zuko is alive and has a dragon, for some reason. Toph also has another daughter named Su Yin. Her and Lin have different fathers and neither of them know who they are-lol. Toph may also still be alive, since she was last scene traveling the world.
otakugal15: (eh?)

I...don't know how to feel about any of this.

I'd only watch it for Lin and the future possibility of Toph...and maybe Zuko with his...somehow none extinct dragon that...if I've seen the caps right, doesn't look like the ones from the episode in season 3 of the original series.

=_=
