I actually really like season 1 and 2 but I do feel like this one has been better on average so far. There's not a lot of focus on Mako this season so far but some scenes have him being kind of dorky and non-jerky. I guess Korra is being more mature but I always felt like she was reasonably well adjusted for someone who spent 18 years isolated in a compound anyway. Bolin has a female love interest this season who doesn't seem like a psychopath so that's a nice change from last season. Their relationship is kind of dull so far but still sweet.
