'Fraid that as a hetrosexual you are out of luck. Think about the type of men who would be interested in a girl with geeky hobbies. Male geeks.
Obese, anti-social, poor personal hygene, poor grooming, drooling neckbeard wastes of space, and that's just the physical flaws, emotionally they tend to latch on to geekery from their childhood because they are not emotionally or developmentally capable to form real bonds in the real world. Then ofcourse socially we have the misogynists, the racists, the pretentious "I'm so great because I can name all of batmans sidkicks even the elsewolrders". If desirable men were interested in geeky material, geekery would not be so fringe a subculture.

There may be one of two good catches, but it's not a great pool to go fishing in.

Geekiness has become increasingly mainstream, so I disagree with your sentiments. Any time my girlfriends comment on a guy's Batman shirt or wear X-Men accessories or something, the reception is good. You aren't a stereotype, are you? I'd think not. Geeks aren't all basement dwellers.

Male geeks usually have a deep rooted and often disturbing reason for their love of geekery, though, and this often comes out in some very unpleasant ways. Not all geeks, and not all male geeks, but an aweful lot of them.

OP is a troll, but: geekiness certainly doesn't mean you're terrible, but a lot of terrible people are geeks. Does that make sense?

For some reason I'm way more likely to encounter sexism among self-identified geeks than among non-geeks. If I say "hey sexism is a thing" a normal person might be reluctant to call themselves a feminist but they're also not going to start screeching "SJW!" and belittling me.

You know, one of my cats had an uncontrollable drool that turned out to be some sort of medical problem that was causing her to drool like that, I wonder if male geeks with neckbeards are afflicted with the same problem.

I'm sorry that the pretty geek boy who made you feel all funny down below told you he wasn't interested but you aren't entitled to sex.

Riiiight. Women never form their own opinions. If I've noticed a trend I must be because a man made me think this way.
Asshole.

You are being massively 'pressed here.

You're literally being the 'a cheerleader was mean to be once so all popular girls are bitches who only care about money' right now.

Ok. to put it in simple terms so you can follow: A male geek was never mean to me. I choose not to engage at all with male geeks if it can be helped. I have noticed a lot of disturbing shit within their subculture.
I do not like male geeks
I do not like bronies
I do not like furries
I have never been shunned by any of these people. simply do not like the way they look / act / are.

And I'm saying you're dumb as hell and in addition to that a bit of a cunt.

What bout my above comments denote low intelligence?
"I don't like ______"
"That's because you're unintelligent"
And in that exchange I'm apparently I'm the c-nt.
Also, anti-woman slurs, you're showing yourself to be a really classy piece of work.

Tbh, I wouldn't bother with geek girls either.

My boyfriend (straight), my best friend (gay) and my other two friends (straight) would like to disagree with you.

I also disagree with you.

See, there are douchebags and there are nerds. The two are not mutually exclusive, but they sure as hell aren't the same.

You're looking in the wrong places. In any case, what were you hoping to accomplish with these... adjectives?
You don't sound that dreamy yourself. Judgemental? Check. Offensive? Check. It sounds like you fit right in with the people you're complaining about.

tl;dr stop trying to stuff people in neat little boxes

I ended up with one of those good ones, but I can think of several bullets I dodged.

As a straight geeky girl who has lots of geeky male friends...no.

Neckbeards exist, but there are SO MANY other people and other kinds of people out there, even among the (very large) realm of nerdy people.
