I think some of that could be fixed by giving lesser known characters more screentime.

This. I think I would have enjoyed more Aurora, Red and Mulan plots, but when I think of a badly handled Red plot, I go back to my blu-rays and watch "Child of the Moon". It could have been handled so much better if Graham was in the flashbacks just like this rewrite that I've loved.

This show killed off Graham way too fast imo. He could've been a nice addition to some of the later stories. I'll have to read this!

And I agree about Aurora, Mulan and Red, but tbh even if they got shit storylines or characterization... It couldn't be worse than what we've already got, right?
