I love RHPS, but it's an intentionally shitty parody of old shitty sci-fi movies. I think it's pretty legit that someone might dislike it and think it's a shitty movie. Generally the only people it's going to appeal to are,
a) People who liked those old shitty sci-fi movies and enjoy the parody references to them (PROBABLY A VERY SMALL PROPORTION OF CURRENT AUDIENCE),
b) People who like musicals and enjoy the songs,
c) People who like queer things and enjoy the queer parts,
d) People who experienced it as an interactive "event" and like it in that respect.

Even putting all of those groups of people together, there's a huge range of people it's not going to appeal to.
