No, being a geek girl does not make it easier to get dates.

Being confident and open to dating makes it easier to get dates, regardless of interests.

Now, if you're looking for an amazing relationship that'll last some years, that's another story. You'll need to be more strategic then, and do your own part in maintaining the relationship. Or you can be lazy and not care about dating (I'm not being sarcastic here, I've heard this has accidentally worked for a few people).
