Not to mention that while the black Captain Marvel doesn't have her own book right now, she's still around and has fairly frequent appearances in Avengers related titles these days (at least when I last checked), and Carol becoming Captain Marvel made room for the new Ms. Marvel who is a PoC character who is generating a lot of hype. k

I pick up Captain Marvel because it is fantastic, I pick up Ms. Marvel for the same reason.
