I wonder if that character test was a Mary Sue test? When it comes to fanfiction OCs, those statements are not bad advice, but I do think that they're more of a guideline, not a hard-and-fast rule.

Yeah , sort of. One of them was some test that seemed like it was for original stuff.


In one instance I really just hated it because the way it was worded was "You should feel this way. Your characters are only tools nothing more" Like I could certainly agree with "your character is not you" But eh.
