In DC, sure. Marvel have more sense when it comes to stuff like that, probably because their fanbase is less forty-five year old virgins. Can you imagine how they'd be slaughtered almost instantly by their fans if they tried trans* erasure. It is something so insulting they wouldn't dare. They'd have to do it using one of their a-listers to make it count though, 'cause it is almost impossible to get a new character into the a-list these days. It takes thirty years worth of comics, and a lot of luck to achieve that.
