Office wncironment

(Anonymous) 2014-07-28 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Ir is so cold in my office that when I left for dinner, I just sat in my car, without it running for about 10 minutes before I went into the restaurant. And now I'm doing it again in the work parking lot.

It's an 88 degree evening.

Seriously, I feel cozy and toasty right now, but it's a chill that goes deep in my bones.

Ugh, I'm always cold indoors. Thermostat for my house says 78 degrees, which I could swear is what it's always at, but I've been dragging blankets around with me for the past week.
I took a summer school class a couple weeks ago, and I was always freezing. It was really bad. I'd be in the middle of class, fantasizing about leaning against a brick wall outside and absorbing its heat. Until one day the air conditioning went out and the whole day everyone was complaining of the heat. Meanwhile, I was having the best time, finally able to release myself from the constraints of a jacket.

I do that sometimes too. I work in an ER, and they keep it ice box cold down there. So often when I go home, I don't turn my A/C on in the car for a while. It feels so good after freezing my ass off. (I live in NC and it's been hit as hell here.)

ugh, I would have to seriously consider quitting/not taking a job in an office that was that cold.

Why is it kept that way? Are there people working there who just run really hot? It seems to be a common phenomenon in many places. :(

(also, it took me a minute to figure out what your title was supposed to say, but then I looked at the keyboard and realized just what happened XD)
