not being shocked and horrified by something to give anon the omgggggggggg reaction they're looking for, doesn't mean you don't think it's bad. it just means you're not surprised.

That makes sense. Most people think all kinds of horrible things are bad. I'm just not sure why someone wouldn't be surprised. Or at least shocked.

I've just met too many people (and you haven't said this, so I'm not necessarily talking about you) who hear of something terrible and then go "Oh, well, I'm desensitized so it doesn't really shock me or anything."

I'm always like "....that's not something to brag about, man."

i'm not bragging about how desensitized i am, i'm pointing out how obvious it is that this is shock bait

DA and not OP, but I wouldn't just assume that they shared this story just to get the "OMG" reaction. Some people do it to start a discussion. Be it about the mental state of young people or if sites like 2ch should exist. JS
