I've just been disappointed too many times by people desperate for representation claiming that two women in an older work are totally in love. It might have been true but it's not really what I'm looking for because the changes in how people are allowed to show affection mean that it's more ambiguous than I want it to be.

So everyone should probably just ignore me. I'm finding it hard to get excited about subtext these days. I want actual text and I'm tired of people getting my hopes up by acting like their subtext is more explicit than it is.
