1) they also, MUCH more frequently, heavily emphasize that children and women (these two groups tend to be treated pretty much the same by these crazies, except that women are expected to work much harder) are to be cheerfully and subserviently obedient to their Male Overlords at all times even when they don't like what the Male Overlord is saying or doing, and
2) whenever a Male Overlord's abusive transgressions come to light, they fall all over themselves victim-blaming and trying to make excuses for the Male Overlord, as to why we should forgive and forget and pretend that it didn't happen and ~judge not we are all sinners~ etc (witness the rush to excuse Bill Gothard from systematically molesting multiple girls over the course of several years, and the rush to blame the victim in the Doug Phillips case.) There's a site called "No Longer Quivering" that keeps up with what the crazy fundies are doing, which is how I know about all this.
