I posted on fanficrants back when I was still a fundie who thought homosexuality is a sin. :p

Um, I hooked up with a guy I met on OKC without telling anyone after only talking to him for a week. That probably could have ended badly.

You were a fundie?! (Not judging, we all have our pasts, but I'm suprised.)

I was a friendly fundie who abided by "hate the sin, love the sinner" and mostly left people alone but quietly knew that I was right. I was a creationist too. And actually I think that led to me understanding evolution better than most people because I got really into the debates about it and the poor people who felt compelled to respond to ridiculous creationist arguments do a really good job of explaining things if you're open to reading it.

"posted on fanficrants back when I was still a fundie who thought homosexuality is a sin"

Do you mean you posted on a thread specifically about the subject, or just in general and kept your opinion quiet? If it's the former, how are you even alive right now lol?

I was in a few discussions on the subject. I was curious about what was offensive about thinking it's a sin but not otherwise insulting gay people, so I asked. It actually wasn't too bad.

Honestly, I think people exaggerate the toxicity of that place. But I think that about just about every place on the internet whether it's a troll's nest or sjw hive of scum and villainy. I'm always a little underwhelmed by the experience of places I've been told to avoid when I finally take a look out of curiosity.
