*I* can smile normally, but it's often uncomfortable to use my muscles that way, so I often smirk. Maybe she's the same way.

Her face is asymmetrical. The smirk is natural for her. I also have an asymmetrical face, and it takes a lot of practice and effort to smile in a way you would consider "normal."

Sadly, I'm not cute like she is, though. I got a big-ass nose and chin to go with my asymmetry. *sigh*
