But I completely agree. In any fandom the character voice is important and no matter what kind of a character it is, they have their own thing. I understand that it might be scary to take on especially concerning racism... but doesn't it become more racist if they try and remove it? Adding the kind of details -to me- shows that the writer at least tried. I don't care about any other stuff.
Also, the lack of experience is a valid reason, and I don't know if everyone would be as passionate to research just for a so called one time thing.
