In addition to cloud_riven's point, I find it moderately strange that you consider those the only options - why assume they've given up natural birth, rather than that they're oviparous or reproduce by fission, or have some sort of energy-form based reproduction?

Yeah, they're obviously very similar to humans in appearance (and personality), but that doesn't mean they have to be human in physiology.
