I'm thinking something Transformers-based, but I'm not sure which of the faction symbols to go with. I'm also up for suggestions of most other fandoms that have any sort of recognizable insignia (listing them would take forever). The vinyl cutter I'm working with can only do one color (more are technically possible, but seriously complicated), and I'm limited by space to about 3x3 inches or smaller. Any ideas? Thanks!

STAR TREK

You could take a look if there is a "crossover" faction thing. As in, one side Autobot, the other Decepticon. Then you don't have to choose.
(Like this http://www.shmax.com/img/transformers/insignia/large/50.png - there are quite a few of those, mono coloured as well. Just picture search for "autobot decepticon logo")
