Oh, I do have meta discussions about shows and stuff. But I don't really do the shippy stuff with r/l people. And the porn, yeah not the porn.

I do sometimes mention shippy stuff, but mostly when it's het because otherwise I don't know how people will react. (And I live in a quiet part of Texas where plenty of people are still homophobic and it's tiresome.)

The porn, though... Hell yea, the porn stays separate.

Ah, that sucks. There's only three people who really know I like slash: A friend who writes it herself, my ex, and my boyfriend. The latter likes to tease me about it. We had this weird evening yesterday where we basically just browsed the internet for fan art.

Still, even he's not quite aware of all my ships and certainly not my fics.

Heh, I remember your boyfriend showing you that Steve/Bucky vid and you being weirded out. How did the fanart thing come up? Either way I find that adorable and would actually love a boyfriend or girlfriend who I could share that kind of stuff with.

Ha, yes. It was not so much weirded out as "wait a minute, does he know I ship this?"

The fanart thing came up because of the leaked Deadpool teaser: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x22eh2p_deadpool-official-test-footage-hd-ryan-reynolds_shortfilms

And we were basically talking about how delightfully weird Wade is, and how the authors are aware of slash, and you have like Deadpool flirting with Thor and Spidey and Cable, and before you know it we were googling Spideypool smut. And then pretty much went through all the MCU shipping portmanteau's.

It's sort of awesome, but I'm still bit weary about it and I'm not sure how I'd feel about him reading my fic. Especially the shippy stuff. I feel like with many writers element of my own relationship seep in and that might be sort of awkward.

I do hope you find that special someone!
