Can you please explain to me what draws you to write for prompts like that? To me they seem like the fic's already written, so there's nothing for me to do.

Well, they are just prompts. And, like with any bare bones writing prompt, you then flesh them out by describing what the characters in question would do in that particular "Imagine" scenario.

So, I could say "Imagine A has a nightmare and B comforts them, leading to cuddling." That's not the story, that's just the idea. You fill in all the little spaces between "nightmare" and "comfort" and "cuddles" with your characters thoughts, feelings, words, actions, fears, wants, etc.

The onein the secret is so detailed, though, as are most that I've seen. There's no room for the writer left.

I disagree.

Why was A kneeling on a grate to fix circuitry? Why is B in a position to kiss A's knees at all? Are they dating? Have they been flirting and this is their first time doing something remotely sexual? How does A feel about being kissed and massaged by B? How does B feel about A? What do they discuss during this scene? There's a lot things you can do with it.
